Dr. Martin Shaw is a writer, wilderness rites-of-passage guide and oral storyteller. Author of many books, his latest, Stag Cult was recently the number one bestseller at the London Review of Books. He has brought the power of ancient story directly into the lives of thousands of modern people. Dr Shaw founded the Oral Tradition and Mythic Life programs at Stanford University and his conversation and catalogue with Ai Weiwei is available with the Marciano Arts Foundation. He is Reader in Poetics at Dartington Arts School. Robert Bly describes him as "a true master, one of the very greatest storytellers we have."
